National Health Research Agenda of Trinidad and Tobago
The National Health Research Agenda (NHRA) will enable researchers to conduct research relevant to the needs of our nation. Whether you are a researcher, policymaker, or healthcare professional, there is a role for you in shaping the future of health research in Trinidad and Tobago.
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
Research plays a pivotal role when developing effective health policies and improving practice in clinical care, public health and at the level of the health system. An evidence-informed approach to health systems challenges including healthcare delivery can lead to an improvement in the effectiveness, efficiency, and equity of health systems, as well as improved accountability and transparency.
The NHRA is a key step towards facilitating the generation and utilisation of research evidence in decision-making and strengthening the country’s national health research system.
